Bozeman’s coffee scene has a little bit of everything: from cozy work-friendly corners to classic local hangouts and drive-through lifesavers. As someone who loves coffee and a spends an impressive amount of time at coffee shops, these are my favorites in Bozeman!

Best Coffee Shops to Work From

If you need a place to focus, get some work done, or study, Bozeman has several spots that combine good coffee with a relaxed atmosphere, reliable Wi-Fi, and an acceptable amount of plug-ins.

The Daily

A Bozeman institution for decades, The Daily is as reliable as it gets. Their coffees and espresso drinks are consistently solid, and they pair beautifully with pastries (try the bee-sting bun and thank me later), hearty breakfast sandwiches, and gluten-free/vegan options. It also has plenty of seating options, making it easy to find your perfect spot. (Some tables even have great views of the Bridgers). It’s not the quietest place to work, but it’s perfect if you want a lively background while you tap away on a project with great food by your side.

Mukai Coffee

If you need a place to actually get stuff done, Mukai has quickly become one of my go-to spots. They have tons of seating, plenty of tables with plugs, and a vibe that feels productive but relaxed. This is also a great place to hold meetings, as it is conveniently located, has tons of parking, and is not such a quiet environment that you can't have a conversation.

Wild Joe’s Coffee Spot

Located right downtown, Wild Joe’s is one of those spots that feels like part of the community heartbeat. Tons of seating (both tables and comfy couches), free Wi-Fi, and a laid-back vibe make it easy to settle in with your laptop or catch up on emails. Plus, they often feature local art and events, which adds to the creative yet casual atmosphere. Their creative seasonal drinks keep locals coming back year-round!

Best Coffee Shops to Meet Friends

Sometimes, you just want a place to relax and catch up with friends. Bozeman’s coffee shops offer warm, inviting spaces perfect for conversation and connection.

Feed Cafe

Feed Cafe feels like a warm hug - great food, friendly baristas, a small shop with local goodies, and a neighborhood vibe that just feels good. It’s one of those places that doesn’t feel rushed, so you can sit and chat with a friend over a latte or a hearty bite and never feel like you’re in a hurry. The biscuits and gravy never miss!

Roly Poly

Roly-Poly is one of those spots you want to bring a friend to. It’s welcoming, laid-back, and has that perfect coffee shop energy that makes conversations flow easily. Whether you’re grabbing a cup to go or sitting down for a long catch-up, this is one of my favorite social coffee stops.

Best Coffee Shops for a Quick Stop

If you’re on the go, Bozeman has plenty of spots where you can grab a quality coffee quickly without sacrificing flavor.

The Bumble Bean

If you’re running out the door and need a quick caffeine fix, The Bumble Bean is my go-to coffee hut. On the way to Bridger Bowl (on Griffin Drive), this hut is perfect for early mornings when the last thing you want to do is park and go inside. They have been in Bozeman for 17 years, and you will come to love their friendly faces.

Nexus

Conveniently located on 7th Avenue, this is one of the top drive-up options in town with consistently great reviews if you want a quality cup with speed. A dirty chai-latte is my favorite coffee treat from here!

New to the Scene in Bozeman

Rowan Coffee Company

A newer addition to Bozeman’s coffee landscape that’s quickly winning hearts. The focus here is on freshly roasted beans and expertly pulled espresso drinks - it’s the kind of place you go when you want your coffee to really shine. Their pour-overs and lattes have quickly become some of my favorites. Not to mention the stunning minimalist interior!
